Canvas Palette Showcase - Drake Haven

Hello to all you realm runners!

I hope you all had a fantastic festive period! Firstly my apologies for the unexpected gap in content; work ramped up a lot in that last week so was taking what time I could to rest.

With the GP now behind us and Dexter’s Dragon Riders just released, I felt it only right to get back into my custom palette articles with one of my most anticipated ones to finally get my hands on the new stuff for; Drake Tribal!

The overall strategy is to use your Drake characters, and Achrom shards, to deploy locations with growing resolves so every card you deploy is making an even bigger impact especially if you manage to get multiple locations down. Alongside some useful control pieces help you answer your opponent’s plays.

Achrom Breach - Almost every permanent card in this palette has an Achrom shard on it so this card’s resolve can grow very quickly. Also good value piece allowing you to constantly get a card even when you have to trade that turn.

Fibron - 4-cost that steals 2 so good value Drake body. Also turns The Valli Caves into a form of removal

Haskus - 3-cost steal 2 is amazing value and a potentially strong draw card; at worst its a draw 1 which is still decent.

Umbra Aqueous - Potential way to help you gain shards, especially when suited up with Cintimani Stone to bring it to 8 strength.

Cintimani Stone - Pretty much enough said about this card, has the added synergy with Achrom Breach as well in here.

Impius Drake - Forcing an opponent to erase a card just because you deployed it; fantastic value for 2 shards.

Mortius Drake - Decent base strength of 4, also serves as trade fodder if necessary.

Thisp - Arguably one of the strongest characters in Draco now; has the potential to erase a lot of cards or weaken a character enough for your weaker characters to take it out.

Danra Drake - 3 drop that drains 2, nothing much more to say.

Gritfell Drake - 2 drop Drake the draws when its erased so replaces itself.

Achrom Haven/Haskus’ Den - Both locations that increase their steal or drain respectively depending on the number of Drakes you control.

Draco Graveyard - Gives you a repeatable Dig option

The Valli Caves - Gives you access to some straight gain whilst also being a control piece via Freeze; combos with Fibron also to be a real threat.

Achrom Claw - In here to give me an answer to Protection mainly but also makes a chosen character a difficult target to attack into

Breath of Fire/Breath of Ice - Control cards

HAIM Shard Cache - It’s an Achrom deck… we all knew it was gonna be in here!

Some other options you can also consider;

Tenebris - Strong 6 Strength legendary that erases a card as soon as he’s deployed however not a Drake type.

Vortigen/Kocora Bri - Gives you a potential board wipe piece in your legendary slot which can prove useful in some situations.

Umbra Igneous - Another 4 cost Drake that erases locations when attacking; chose Fibron over him mainly because of the Freeze synergy and stronger resolve.

Altari Drift - Card that’s growing on me slowly; deploy it at the right time and it can get you right back in the game however it’s reliant on your opponent having cards in hand.

Dragon’s Flare - If you’re finding characters to be more of a threat than locations adding a couple of these can help you out

Feeding Time - Gives you some good draw power, chose not to run it as felt I’d then be too reliant on having a lot of Drakes out so wanted other options incase that wasn’t happening.

That's all from me for now guys, keep your eyes peeled for more custom palette lists coming your way and more!
