Canvas Palette Showcase - Dragons of Altari

Hello and welcome to you all Realm Runners!

Today I’ve got another of my custom palettes for you guys, this time using all that amazing Dragon support from all 3 Draco realm products we’ve received so far; Seige of Draco Temple, Last Snow Dragons of Altari and Dexter’s Dragon Riders.

This palette aims to do what dragons have always done since their initial release; put down a lot of characters and benefit off having all of them down with some big resolves and effects.

In total there are 12 Dragons in this list, with Cyan shards also featuring heavily, and a decent amount of Red, to make Chroma Storehouse another source of big gain when deployed. There’s also a little nod to Freese as a sub-theme with Harusk & Valli caves giving you some effect control and Fibron there to turn it into full control by turning it all into erasing.

So now let’s break down the cards themselves.

Boomarshka - Big strength character that totally shuts down your opponent’s actions forcing them to rely on combat or their card’s abilities to deal with your cards which can often put a lot of players in a very tough situation, especially if you manage to drop it on the first turn.

Fibron - Turns all of your Freeze abilities into card control.

Harusk - Mass-Freeze, especially devastating when paired with Fibron.

Ignis - Strong character that can pose a big aggro threat early game

Dexter’s Dwelling - With 12 Dragons in the palette, has a good chance of basically drawing you a free card. Otherwise it still pays for itself the same turn.

Fromp/Draco Whelp - Grouping together as they serve the same aim; good amount of gain that scales with how many Dragons you control. From has the added benefit of a decent body and a constant resolve effect on top of that.

Minima Draco/ Draco Fledgling - Card draw on a Dragon character, pretty much all there is to them in here.

Ruber Draco/Snark - 2-drops that pay for themselves on the same turn. Snark being Heroic, plus Ruber Draco having Red shards to allow higher gains off Chroma Storehouse, mean I play them in a 2-1 ratio respectively.

Chroma Storehouse - Potentially huge gains off its action alone that can win you the game then and there, incredible card.

Dragons Watch - Reduces cost of all your Dragons so not much to go into here. Prevent is a nice touch too.

Cascada’s Ridge - Resolve scales based on the number of Dragons you control so can easily pay for itself, and more, on the turn you deploy it.

Draco Graveyard - Gives you access to some recursion if needed.

The Valli Caves - Freeze effect in a location that adds to your gain and has Cyan shards.

Breath of Fire/Claw Slash/Dragon’s Flare - Control actions with a deliberate bias towards character control to help keep your weaker ones around for longer if possible. Also accidental flavour win for a Dragon palette!

There are other options for a few of these if you so wish as well.

Crackle - If you want to focus even more on the Freeze sub-theme, this can provide you even more board wipe potential through Fibron. Note it also hits your cards too though.

Darnacusk/Dexter, Master of Dragons - Both have a resolve that scales with the amount of cards you control, specifically Dragons in Darnacusk’s case, which can be more valuable than Boomarshka at times.

Materno/Jamshid Orb - If you want to add in some Protection to help keep your weaker Dragons around, especially if you’re using Dexter, Master of Dragons as your legendary, rather than leaning into the Freeze engine with Fibron.

That's all from me for now guys!
