Competitive Talk - Promotional Actions

Image
Hello Realmrunners snd welcome to another Competitive Talk! Today I thought I’d build on my last article about the promo Locations by going into a discussion around the Actions you could get by purchasing £30’s worth of product during each of the respective seasons on the Achroma calendar over the last year; namely Salum Spring , Draco Summer , Spirata Fall and Norso Winter . At face value these cards make excellent ‘blank’ cards in your Palette. What do I mean by a ‘blank’ card? Well say you’re building a custom Palette and you’re stuck on 28 cards but you’re unsure what to add to make it up to 30; these cards slot in quite nicely as a filler for those slots if there’s nothing else you can think of that fits the spot. In terms of cost they’re all essentially free to Deploy, outside of some very niche scenarios, as they Steal the shards back that you spend on them. This means, although they aren’t great Trade fodder like  HAIM Shard Cache , they are usable in Chroma strategies, as t

Card Highlight - Thrash

Hello to you all realmrunners and welcome to another card highlight! Today I was thinking I’d go into a card I discreetly alluded to in my article on  The Unruly  as he’s easily my favourite little cyperpunk of a Pixie to come out of The Secrets of Spirata; its Thrash ! Already sporting a decently healthy stat of 4 Strength & Shard Value, he also turns any Object you deploy into a form of removal. This can hit any card on the Canvas as well, it is not specifically just for Characters, Locations or Objects. This means if you’re building a Palette focused on Objects in Spirata, Thrash is definitely a go-to card to include. This makes him a great tool in dealing with opponents’ Locations, that are otherwise hard to remove, as well as any Characters that have Poisonous without you needing to attack into it and lose a Character or Object of your own which then allows you to develop your Canvas further. In terms of his usability, it may seem a bit strange, but even in a Chroma-focused

Custom Palette Showcase - Trolls on the Stock Market

Hello everyone and welcome to another Custom Palette Showcase! On the topic of the Norso realm, I thought I’d take this opportunity to show my take on the, arguably, most competitive Palette to come out of the realm so far; Norso Traders. So here’s the list I use. As you can guess from the name, the strategy is pretty straightforward; do a lot of Trading to bring yourself up to 30 shards. The recent rules change, which limits the amount you can Trade for in your Start & End steps to a maximum of 6 shards, has made a minor impact on this Palette however there are so many cards in here that either give you extra shards when you Trade or the ability to Trade outside of your Start and End steps that it doesn’t do as much damage to it as it may do other strategies. So let’s look at the individual cards from the list. Knut - Strong prevent effect that turns all of your Trading into card draw so you’re really losing any resources by doing it, must have in any Norso Trade focused Pal
