 Welcome, once again, realmrunners to another breakdown of one of the new Keywords that’s coming from The Monsters Norso. Today we’re looking at the Chroma-aligned faction’s one; the mysterious Guard that appeared on the rules document all that time ago with no explanation. Well now we finally have a definition. At first glance this might just appear to be a rework of Protection , however there are some significant differences. Firstly, and most obviously, it’s a one-time thing; once it gets hit by some form Shard Drain it is removed from the card. There’s also the fact that there’s no stipulation of where the Shard Drain comes from in order for Guard to work, meaning old work-arounds for Protection , like Impius Drake and Sorrono , won’t work the same versus any card with Guard as it protects cards from your own abilities as well as your opponent’s.  Hey there realmrunners! Well after such a long wait all this news is coming thick and fast but finally we are on the eve of the next chapter for Achroma which means new keywords to discover! With them all revealed it's time to take a dive into them one by one so let’s begin with the one I’m probably most excited for; Rebound . Here’s the definition. A pretty simple one to read; bounce a card, resolve an effect. Very similar in function to Sacrifice   from the Draco realm, although not as costly to you in the long run.  What immediately sticks out about this Keyword to me is the fact it returns the card to your hand, allowing you to replay it on a later turn; this means you can get multiple uses out of all the Action available to you in Norso. Although this might seem costly over time, as you’ll have to repeatedly pay to deploy them but it also gives you the option of Trading them if you just needed the Action so they then essentially pay for themselves.  Hello realmrunners and welcome back. Well The Monsters of Norso is now literally only 3 days away! As a little teaser to get all of us geared up tor it, I’ve been sent a couple of complete card spoilers to share with you all. So without further ado here are 2 of the new cards coming at you in The Monsters of Norso, starting with a returning favourite of mine! Leif and Tufter still together! Yes it’s our old friend Leif of Lacringi  from The Warriors of Wishwell and he’s had quite a boost, in my opinion! It’s a very simplistic ability; you gain 2 shards whenever you deploy a card. But then you look at what this means in the bigger picture; this essentially results in all cards you deploy having a psuedo-reduction of 2 shards, so cards that seemed expensive before feel a lot more playable and all of your smaller costing cards are completely free, if not better because of their own resolves! So Achroma has just announced that The Monsters of Norso, the final chronicle in the Chapter 2 series, will finally release on Halloween! So in the spirit of all things Norso I thought it would be helpful to being all the cards out from The Warriors of Wishwell and see what cards are likely to only become more useful with this next wave of cards in their realm. Whilst I know I covered a lot of this sort of stuff in my review of  The Warriors of Wishwell  as a set in itself, I thought it was worth a refresher as, let's be honest, it's been a while since Norso got any real love.
