Norso sneak peeks - The Chimera & The Crescendo

 Hello realmrunners and a happy new year to you all! 

I hope you’ve all had a fantastic festive season. I’m finally finding the time to get back into it (Christmas in hospitality is fun, what can I say!) so I thought I’d start with a quick look at the most recent art sneak peeks to come out of The Monsters of Norso, that being The Chimera and The Crescendo.


First off we have The Chimera. I’ll make it no secret; that art is incredible! You can already tell its going to be quite a strong Achrom Character from the stance but the question is what could its ability be? I can’t help but notice similarities in the stance to Umbra Igneus from The Siege of Draco Temple, pictured below, which makes me think it’ll have something combat-related in its ability. Maybe something that will trigger when it attacks or inflicts damage? Or even when it Erases something through combat?


Onto the second Character; we have The Crescendo.


I mean the first question here is, which one is the Character? Is it the rather ethereal looking one or the one whose mouth it seems to be coming from? Either way, with this being a Character, it’s hard for me to get a read on what it might do. Maybe, given how combat-focused Norso has been before, it’ll have Defend; give something else, or itself, Protection somehow whilst its on the Canvas; or maybe something that forces you to attack it first? Or maybe this is something related to a brand new keyword instead? The name is related to sound or music so maybe that holds some clues as to what its ability is?



2025 seems to be looking to be a real turning point for the longevity of Achroma with several new things on the horizon. The Realm Rift draft format has now formally been announced to kick off alongside the new boosters product for the first Chapters of each realm; The Monsters of Norso finishing off the main sets of Chapter 2 with more to follow in this line; and a more dedicated roadmap to be announced so we’ll hopefully see a lot more structure around future set releases.

A First Look - Monsters of Norso

 Hello and welcome realmrunners! As we’re now well into sneak peek season for the up and coming Monsters of Norso the content creators of the community are starting to get our own individual cards to look over. So here’s the first piece I have - just some artwork to get us started off; The Minotaur’s Domain . Along with the artwork I’ve got the following little bit of lore to go with it - “The Minotaur resides here when he isn't out wandering the labyrinth.”  So what we know for sure is that it’s a Location that directly relates to ‘The Minotaur’ whom I suspect features in the set’s cover art. First impression I get from this art is that it’s very dark and misty, so most likely Achrom-leaning if not fully Achrom. It’s also giving me a very similar sort of feel to cards like Murky Manor  or Throne Room from the other realms; a very foreboding and shadowy building that’s most likely to be related to a very dark Character. Competitive Talk - Palette Archetypes

Hello realm runners and welcome! It’s been a hot minute since I did any competitive-based articles; since before the last GT actually, so thought it was about time to revisit them. As Achroma’s card-pool expands we start to see palettes across every realm that have similar playstyles or gameplans in how they are going to hit 30 shards or drain their opponents down to 0. For anyone already involved in the competitive scene of card gaming this topic is already a known thing; Archetypes . Spirata Fall Season begins!

  Hello there Realm Runners, I hope you’re all doing well! As September has now come to a close, so too does Draco Summer season - With Tenebris’ attack successful and the Dragon Temple now fallen the next question is…. What fate awaits the Fairies and Pixies of the Spirata Planum? That’s where all of us, as players, come in!
