Spirata Fall Season begins!


 
Hello there Realm Runners, I hope you’re all doing well!

As September has now come to a close, so too does Draco Summer season - With Tenebris’ attack successful and the Dragon Temple now fallen the next question is…. What fate awaits the Fairies and Pixies of the Spirata Planum? That’s where all of us, as players, come in!

Once a quarter (every 3 months) is a new season in the world of Achroma and, as with every season, Spirata Fall is kicking off with the Achrometer event!

Every win that happens this month will be recorded on the Achrometer as to whether it was a Chroma win (getting your shards to 30) or an Achrom win (draining your opponents to 0) and, at the end of the event, which ever side got the most wins then drives what happens in the story and even has an impact on some of the new cards which come out! So get put there and get fighting for your faction to bring them victory in their story!

Along with a new season is coming a new promo card so, from now until December 31st, with every order of £30 or more from the Achroma store you’ll get yourself a copy of this brand new action card! They often give it out as a promo for entering events during the season as well. It is limited so once it’s gone, it’s gone! So don’t miss out!


For this realm I am a huge fan of the Fallen Stone Pixies so I’ll be pushing for an Achrom victory! Here’s a couple of Achrom-based palettes I’m planning on using for this event.

First up is the ol’ faithful - Achrom Breach Pixies;

Standard idea really for anyone familiar with the more competitive side of Achroma - geared it to grab Achrom Breach as fast as it can through Fallen Stone Skeleton Key and a lot of draw power however Throne Room is also in here as it has the ability to really mess up other people’s resolves. You just have to be careful not to hurt yourself too much by stopping Full Palette when you need it!

Secondly we have Achroma’s own suited up villain, and one of my personal favourites, Spiral Traitorius;

Rather similar to one I posted in the Canvas Forum in Discord not too long ago, just with a few slight changes to it. A much more character-heavy palette than the previous one, to make best use of Spiral’s steal resolve. Wincey is in there to facilitate a decent gain to pay for bigger costing drops when I can’t trade off a HAIM Shard Cache as well as being a 3-strength character to attach Achrom Corruptor to that also draws a card when Deployed.

Competitive Talk - What are ‘Staples’?

Hello to you all and welcome to another of my Competitive Talk articles!  Today I want to delve into an area that people less experienced with card games might not be so familiar with but it’s something that, no matter the game is always present especially on the tournament scene - ‘ Staples ’. In every card game ever created there are always certain cards that stick out as being incredibly versatile and generic in what they can do so you’ll find them appear in most, if not all, of the strongest decks within the game. Achroma is no exception to this pattern; whilst the separation of palettes into the different Realms makes wide arcing staples less frequent, within each one there are stand-out cards that I’d always be looking to fit into my palettes regardless of the overall theme of it if I was looking to make it a top tier build.  I know I’ve already talked through a few of these cards in more detail in my Card Highlight series but I thought that, as the game grows, it always helps t
