Card Highlight - Cintimani Stone

Hello to you all and welcome to another of my Card Highlight series!

This time I thought I’d address a very very well known card within the more experienced Achroma community, whilst those of you a bit newer to the game might not be aware of how well this card lives up to its hype. This is, arguably, the most-played card in Achroma right now across all the realms’ palettes; the legendary Realm Relic, Cintimani Stone.

Let’s get the easy stuff out of the way first; it’s a Realmless Object so can fit into literally any palette (as long as you think you have the space in your rare slots of course!); with 5 strength it’ll make even the smallest of characters a big threat in combat; a steal 2 in the resolve is nice to have on it; finally it’s high cost can also double up to make it great trade fodder as well, although the only situations I would ever suggest trading this are either to win you the game by getting you to 30 or if you desperately need those 5 shards to make a play that then enables you to win the game that turn.

Now onto the deeper part of it; already, from just a cursory read, you can easily get an inkling of why this card is so widely used - recurring literally any card from any player’s dregs and using it for yourself is an insane ability. From something as simple as reusing one of your cards; stealing your opponent’s legendary that you erased/they had to trade; to Cintimani Stone itself being a recyclable card, in the right realms, to repeatedly abuse and get value off; it truly is incredibly versatile in every strategy. Further to this, in particular if you look at building it into a Hex Clunker or even a Norso palette, it has even greater synergies Find/Dig it easier and in the fan favourite realm of Spirata you have Factory Production Line which can play it for cheaper, giving you even greater value off of it!

The true value you can get off Cintimani Stone is in the timing of when you play it; sometimes it’s better to hold off until such a time that either you erase a card or your opponent trades away one that you can use to turn the tide overwhelmingly in your favour, or you can simply have it held back as an insurance plan for if you find your first attempt gets stopped. Playing it as soon as possible isn’t necessarily the right move with Cintimani.

Realistically the only times you’ll find yourself not really needing this card are; when your palette’s strategy needs all 4 rare slots for other cards or when you have little to no characters so don’t get as much benefit off of it. Outside of this there’s no doubt reasons for it to be played in almost every single palette, given that it’s a Realmless card.

If you find your palette needs a little boost or some real comeback power then you’ll find Cintimani Stone in the Phisto expansion from the Salum realm, alongside many other cards that are fantastic for that realm in particular! You can also get this in the complete Unlimited Collection of Salum Chapter 1, or the newer Deluxe Realm Box for Salum, which are both available on the Achroma online store linked below.
